Brass and choral voices – what can be more celebratory? That’s the mix this year when the Vanier College Choir performs its annual December concert on Friday, December 4, 2009. For students, the concert marks the end of the Autumn session, but for the lucky public that attends, it marks the beginning of the Holiday season.
This year the program includes John Rutter’s Gloria , Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata, and Canite Tuba by Donald Patriquin, as well as some brass selections. The instrumentalists include Vanier students, graduates, and teachers, as well as guest musicians.
The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. at Église Saint-Laurent, 805 Ste-Croix. A freewill offering will be taken at the door (suggested donation $10). For information, telephone 514 744.7500.
Parking is available, and public transit is nearby: Du Collège or Côte Vertu Metro.
