Congregation Beth Ora's "Prayer for Life" series presents renowned writer and speaker Paysach Krohn in "The Power of Prayer" on Oct. 30 at 7:30 pm at the Congregation Beth Ora (2600 Badeaux Street). Krohn is the author of five collections of inspiring stories (the Maggid series) nd has addressed audiences throughout the world. No charge.
Diabetic support group
The Saint-Laurent diabetic support group will hold its next meeting on Nov. 1 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Centre des loisirs (1375 Grenet Street). Dr. Marie Hudson, rheumatologist, will be the invited guest. Information: 514 748-8033.

Amirkhanian at Vanier College
The Congress of Canadian Armenians presents composer, pianist, singer and performer Robert Amirkhanian, who will be in Montreal for the first time to give a benefit concert to mark the 31st anniversary of Abaka Weekly Newspaper. Senior Citizen's neighbourhood association
If you like to play bridge, cribbage or bingo, come and join our group at the Saint-Laurent YMCA (1745 Decarie) on Wednesday afternoons at 1 pm. Dues are $10 a year.
