A Country and its People
The Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec (615, Sainte-Croix Ave.) will be holding a family workshop on Saturday, Jan. 13 and Sunday, Jan. 14, beginning at 2 pm, for parents and children over four on «A Settler's Doll». For the early settlers of New France, men often had less to do during the long winter evenings, so they would keep busy by crafting toys to amuse their children. This Styrofoam and felt doll is inspired form this tradition. Info: 514 747-7367.
