Organizers satisfied with tournament
Organizers of the 16th edition of the Saint-Laurent interregional hockey tournament were not only satisfied with the competition but will have many "good memories” of the event.
"Everything went very well,” said a smiling Jeff Goodman, director of the tournament. “It is for us one of the best competitions ever organized. We received very positive comments on behalf of the trainers and parents."
The tournament kept the same formula as in previous years and had a good participation from area teams. In fact, out of the 90 registered teams, no less than 22 were from Saint-Laurent. The tournament is known as one of the most important sporting events in its category.
Moreover, the event had a local feature, which was important to the tournament, according to Jeff Goodman. The director of the tournament also saw a commitment to quality and success. "There were many people and the young people were very pleased to play against one another, in front of spectators, who came out in numbers," he said.
The finalists of the competition were rewarded with medals. All the hockey players were also recognized for their participation. The young winners in the various categories were able to take to the skating rink by holding up their banner to the sound of "We are the Champions," from the group Queen. And that is worth all the gold in the world! (Translated by Michael Beigleman)
