Winter Rug with Tongue Edges
The Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec (615, Sainte-Croix Ave.) will be holding a family workshop on Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18, beginning at 2 pm, for parents and children over three on «Winter Rug with Tongue Edges».In the early days of New France, women would make the most of extra material and out-grown clothes by making them into fun rugs. Vanier College will host the BDC Case Challenge
Vanier initiated the first ever, highly successful case competition among English Cegeps in Quebec last year for students in the Business Administration Program. The event sponsored by BDC was so well-received it has grown this year to include eight colleges, four from Québec and four from Ontario. The 2007 Vanier College BDC Case Challenge will be held on February 16 and 17 at 821 Ste-Croix Avenue. Information at 514 744-7500.
AGBU Montreal 50th Anniversary Celebration
The Armenian General Benevolent Union’s (AGBU) Montreal Chapter (located at 805, Manoogian Street) will be celebrating its Golden 50th Anniversary on February 17 at the historic City Hall of Old Montreal. The event will focus on a historical exhibition as well as a special recognition ceremony and reception for all the volunteers and veteran members of the association. A special commemorative booklet is also being published for this occasion.
