Camille Rayes, 2nd at figure skating provincial competition

During the Star figure skating provincial championships held at the Civic Center in Valleyfield the 16th to 18th of March, Camille Rayes from the Saint-Laurent Figure Skating Club (FSC) placed second in both semi-finals and finals in the Gold Ladies event. She gained a position on the Lac Saint-Louise team by placing 1st at the Lac-Saint-Louis regional competition two months earlier in order to qualify for the provincials. This success is due to the hard work by her and her coach Louise Gagne. She currently studies chemistry at McGill University. She is also part of the McGill Figure Skating team which placed 5th at the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) Championships February 15th and 16th in Toronto.
