Paving work to begin on Marcel-Laurin
The Borough would like to inform residents and others that, over a two-day period at the beginning of next week, paving work will be undertaken on boulevard Marcel-Laurin, between du Collège and Saint-Louis.
At no time will Boulevard Marcel-Laurin be completely closed to traffic during the work. However, traffic may be heavier than usual as only one side of the boulevard will be open, with only one lane in each direction available for traffic. Access to homes or businesses will also be maintained as much as possible. However, it may not be possible to make turns on certain streets.
As such, road users, and more particularly those who travel along Marcel-Laurin during rush hour, are asked to avoid the area as much as possible and take an alternate route.
Following the paving work, shrubs will be planted in the central median. Traffic should not be disrupted to the same degree, however, as only one lane in either direction will be closed, and this outside of rush-hour periods.
It’s worth noting once again that the road work on Marcel-Laurin is part of Montréal’s larger road-network rehabilitation program. The Marcel-Laurin project represents an investment of $8.3 million, and is being carried out in cooperation with the Borough of Saint-Laurent.
For further information, the public is invited to call the Ville de Montréal’s Info-travaux line at 514 872-3777, during business hours, or Saint-Laurent’s Info-travaux line at 514 855-5700, 24 hours a day.
The Borough of Saint-Laurent apologizes for any disruptions to traffic, and thanks road users for their patience and cooperation.
