St. Laurent citizen embarrassed
During the Park Ave. controversy, St. Laurent borough Mayor Alan DeSousa's decision to vote for the name change was based on what he termed reaching out to the "silent majority". Apparently, St. Laurent borough Councillor Patricia Bittar based her vote in favour of the name change by checking with people she met in the grocery store and in the apartment building where she lives. Are we really paying these two Council members a combined salary of $184,000, plus up to $27,000 (expense allowance) for this level of "consultation" and quality of decision-making skills? (Bob Smith)
